Pull Stud

Pull stud or retention knobs are the link to hold the tool holder in the machine spindle. The pulling forces can be quite high, so superior material and hardening is essential for a good quality pull stud.

Description of Pull Stud

BPTL provides the pull studs in the standards of BT-MAS-403, DV DIN 69872 and CV-ANSI. Most of the machines use standard pull stud, however some machines require pull studs of specific design. Specific design pull studs are also provided by BPTL as per request.

BT-MAS-403 – Pull Studs:

Pull studs with pilot
Threading in metric and inch available
No through coolant and through coolant available

DV DIN 69872 – Pull Studs:

Pull studs with pilot
Threading in metric
No through coolant and through coolant available

CV-ANSI – Pull Studs:

Pull studs in metric threading available with pilot and without pilot
Pull studs in inch threading available only without pilot

Locknuts are used to fix the tool in the collet of the collet chuck holder. BPTL provides collet chucks in ER, DA and TG collet.

Wrench

Wrenches are required for collet chucks, power milling chuck and hydraulic chucks. Wrench is used to fix or remove the tool from the holder.
